SUMMARY:How to optimize your L&L markup for speed
DESCRIPTION:Gotta go fast! Page speed is crucial to SEO and UX which is why we’ve built performance features into the DNA of Loops & Logic. In this workshop\, we’ll discuss how you can use the Timer tag\, Async tag\, and query variable to optimize the performance of your templates and blocks. We’ll also look at the benefits of using query parameters like custom_field to filter your loops as opposed to filtering the results of a query using the If tag or the field attribute. Lots to learn and discuss\, so don’t miss this workshop!

SUMMARY:Using L&L to make your front-end workflow a bit more SASSy 💁‍♀️
DESCRIPTION:We built Loops & Logic to build on the HTML markup language and make it a lot more awesome\, so it was a natural fit to allow L&L and Tangible Blocks users to write SASS (Syntactically Awesome Stylesheets) directly in the template or block style tab. SASS is a CSS pre-processor that lets you use variables\, mathematical operations\, mixins\, loops\, and more. Writing SASS usually involves a compile step that converts SASS into browser-readable CSS\, but L&L and Tangible Blocks allow developers to work with SASS directly on their WordPress site without requiring a compile step. In this workshop\, we’ll take a look at some of our recent projects and show incorporating SASS into our workflow has allowed us to build complex sites faster than ever.
